DENAIR VSD (Variable Speed Drive) rotary screw air compressors are suitable for customers who need different amount of air supply and extremely accurate pressure. It can facilitate customers to optimize production process and improve productivity.
When compressed air demand is low, the VSD will reduce rotational speed, thereby reducing power consumption. Depending on the total amount of compressed air used in your facility and how much your processes vary, energy savings can range from hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of dollars per year. Energy savings can be maximized for facilities with the greatest process variability.
Motors controlled by VSD have lower starting current, eliminating the large peak demand that occurs when fixed speed motors are turned on. The VSD converter uses ""soft"" start/stop during operation, automatically controlling acceleration and deceleration levels to reduce current peaks. This in turn takes the pressure off internal power distribution.
VSD motors optimize motor speed and compressor performance. This reduces stress on mechanical and electrical components, extending the life of the system and minimizing downtime.
VSD air compressors provide more stable pressure for factory operations. Fixed-speed compressors operate over a fairly wide pressure range because of the way they use an inlet valve to control airflow. This means more consistent discharge pressure for all applications using compressed air in a facility. The compressor can operate at lower delivery pressures while still maintaining the minimum operating pressure required by the system."
